Summary

The State of Colorado and El Paso County have paid special tribute to Jim Downing, a 104-year-old survivor of the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor that pulled the United States into World War II. With a naming ceremony Friday, the newly reconstructed I-25/Cimarron Street Interchange Bridge is now the “Lieutenant James ‘Jim’ Downing Bridge.”
