El Paso County administrative and elected administrative offices and affiliated agencies, including El Paso County Public Health, Department of Human Services, the Pikes Peak Workforce Center, CSU Extension, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Procurement Technical Assistance Center and the El Paso County Public Trustee will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday Nov. 28, 2014, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Pikes Peak Regional Department (RBD) and El Paso County Public Health are stepping up their efforts to prevent carbon monoxide poisonings by equipping all building inspectors and El Paso County Public Health inspectors with carbon monoxide detectors and urging all residents to equip their homes and places of work with carbon monoxide alarms.

The El Paso County Department of Human Services (DHS) is partnering with the Pikes Peak Library District to better serve clients in the South Eastern part of Colorado Springs. On the first and third Tuesdays of the month a DHS Supervisor is available at either the Ruth Holley Library or Sand Creek Library from 6 to 8 p.m. to answer questions and accept applications and documents.
