Commissioners Schedule Work Session to Discuss Possible County Ordinance on Open Burning

The Board of El Paso County Commissioners will hold a Work Session at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014, to receive information and public input on a possible county ordinance to regulate open burning activities in unincorporated areas of El Paso County.

Citizens visiting two busy El Paso County office buildings are encouraged to a set aside a few extra minutes during their visit to view two new permanent art exhibits now on display. “Faces of the Fire,” is on display on the second floor of the El Paso County Citizens Service Center at 1675 Garden of the Gods Road and “Flights of Fancy” historic paintings are on display in Centennial Hall at 200 South Cascade Avenue.

Clerk’s Office Opens 11 Voter Service and Polling Centers

Clerk and Recorder’s Office opened 11 additional Voter Service and Polling Centers throughout El Paso County to assist voters through the November 4 General Election. Voters may use any of the VSPCs to obtain a replacement ballot, vote in person, register to vote, or change their existing voter registration file.
