“We can celebrate nearly 240 years of freedom through the efforts of millions of American and Canadian veterans who served bravely and faithfully on battlefields throughout the world,” said Commissioner Chair Amy Lathen as she read the Proclamation into the record.  “More than 80,000 veterans and their dependents call the Pikes Peak region home.  The loved ones of all veterans, living or deceased, should be extremely proud of their efforts.”
