El Paso County Public Works has finished a bridge deck replacement project ahead of schedule and Hodgen Road east of Black Forest Road is now open to all traffic in both directions.

Recent heavy rains in eastern El Paso County have severely damaged both approaches to an El Paso County bridge on Slocum Road about 1 ½ miles north of Highway 94 forcing an immediate road closure and detour.

The Board of El Paso County Commissioners voted to reorganize Board leadership selecting Commissioner Sallie Clark to serve as Chair of the Board.  Commissioner Clark, who recently concluded her term as President of the National Association of Counties and currently serves as Immediate Past President.
