December 17, 2025 – El Paso County administrative and elected administrative offices and affiliated agencies will be closed Wednesday, December 24, and Thursday, December 25, for the Christmas Holiday.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office administration services will be closed on December 24-25. However, emergency services such as our 9-1-1 Regional Communications Center, detention operations, and patrol will continue without disruption to provide emergency and essential services for our community.

The closures include the following:

  • El Paso County Assessor’s Office
    • Office closed on Wednesday, December 24
    • Office closed on Thursday, December 25
    • Office closed on Friday, December 26
  • El Paso County Clerk & Recorder’s Office
    • Office closed from 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23
    • Office closed on Wednesday, December 24
    • Office closed on Thursday, December 25
    • Office closed on Friday, December 26
    • North Branch Office (Union Town Center) closed on Saturday, December 27
  • 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office
    • Office closed on Thursday, December 25
  • Offices of the El Paso County Combined Courts
    • Office closed on Thursday, December 25
  • Colorado State University Extension Office
  • El Paso County Coroner’s Office
  • El Paso County Department of Human Services
  • El Paso County Public Health
  • El Paso County Public Trustee & Treasurer’s Office
    • Office closed on Wednesday, December 24
    • Office closed on Thursday, December 25
    • Office closed on Friday, December 26
  • Pikes Peak Workforce Center

The El Paso County Department of Human Services will be closed Wednesday, December 24, and Thursday, December 25, 2025. Visit www.Colorado.gov/PEAK to manage case information, apply for SNAP (Food Assistance), or learn about additional programs.

Offices other than those mentioned above will return to their regular business hours on Friday, December 26, 2025.

The following Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) and Land Use meetings have been cancelled:

  • Tuesday, December 23 – Regular BoCC meeting
  • Thursday, December 25 – Land Use meeting

The next BoCC meeting will occur on Tuesday, January 6, and the next Land Use meeting will occur on Thursday, January 8.
