Join us for the 2025 El Paso County Citizen College, taking place the week of October 13–18. This unique, behind-the-scenes experience offers residents the opportunity to explore the core functions of county government—from public safety and elections to land use, budgeting, and more. Learn how your tax dollars are put to work, engage with County leaders, and gain a deeper understanding of the services that keep our community strong, safe, and thriving.

Whether you’re a lifelong resident or newly invested in local issues, Citizen College equips you with the knowledge to make a difference and be an informed advocate for El Paso County.

Course Details

  • Coroner’s Office – 9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
  • Sheriff’s Office/County Jail – 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Transition to Fountain Creek Nature Center (transportation not provided)
  • Parks & Recreation including Closing & Graduation – 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
