Child support payments may now be submitted by debit or credit card at kiosk in the El Paso County Child Support Services office at the Citizens Service Center building, 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road.

There’s a new way to pay child support in the Citizens Service Center building on Garden of the Gods Road. Child support payments may now be submitted by debit or credit card at the El Paso County Child Support Services office using a new kiosk.

Those making payments need their card, as well as the full name of the obligor, and the obligor’s social security number or Family Support Registry number. There is a vendor’s fee. The kiosk also accepts cash payments with a fee.

“The new kiosk is an example of how the Department of Human Services and our contractors are working to make services more efficient for El Paso County families,” said Julie Krow, Department of Human Services executive director. “Before the new kiosk was installed, a parent could not make a payment at the Child Support Services office.”

El Paso County Child Support Services joined many other County offices and resources in the Citizens Service Center building in January. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and closed on County holidays.

Each month, El Paso County Child Support Services handles about 700 office visits, and answers 5,000 phone calls. The office handles new application processing, paternity testing for new orders, payment records, free notary service, and modification requests. Appointments may also be made with case managers.

Child Support Services is a federally mandated program, housed under the Department of Human Services. El Paso County contracts with YoungWilliams to offer services. At any given time, Child Support Services manages approximately 19,000 cases and collects over $50 million in child support annually.
