Sunny Bryant named Deputy County Administrator

El Paso County, Colorado, September 1, 2022 – El Paso County is pleased to announce Sunny Bryant has been named the new Deputy County Administrator. Sunny replaces Kenneth Hodges who was appointed as El Paso County Attorney in June. Sunny has a deep commitment to the community and a wealth of experience that makes her an excellent choice for this new role. She is a native of Fremont County who worked in the Florence-Penrose School District and for the City of Florence before joining Fremont County in February 2013 as the Budget and Finance Officer. Since beginning her career with Fremont County, Sunny was promoted to County Manager and named 2018 Administrator of the Year by the Association of Colorado County Administrators. This recognition is a testament to her dedication and commitment to public service.

The Deputy County Administrator is responsible for managing and supervising a number of different departments within the county. The position works closely with the County Administrator to ensure that the county is running smoothly and efficiently. Mrs. Bryant will be responsible for managing projects and staff, allocating resources, and preparing and monitoring budgets.

Mrs. Bryant will begin her tenure October 31, 2022.
