El Paso County, Colorado, July 28, 2023 – El Paso County has been recognized with three 2023 National Association of County Information Officers (NACIO) Awards. The awards honor innovative, effective county government programs that strengthen communication with our community. The following media projects were awarded:

- Superior – ARPA Webpage – El Paso County, Colorado
- Best in Category – Beyond the Dais Podcast – El Paso County, Colorado
“Our team’s hard work and creativity were recognized with several awards, a testament to our department’s unwavering commitment to keeping El Paso County connected and informed. Their efforts have not only resonated with our community but have also garnered national recognition,” said Vernon Stewart, Executive Director of the Communication Department.
The National Association of County Information Officers was founded in 1966. This organization aims to unite government communicators from counties and state associations nationwide. With 192 submissions, it proved to be the most competitive yet this year.
