November 20, 2025 – El Paso County administrative and elected administrative offices and affiliated agencies will be closed Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office administration services will be closed on November 27-28. However, emergency services such as our 9-1-1 Regional Communications Center, detention operations, and patrol will continue without disruption to provide emergency and essential services for our community.
The closures include the following:
- 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office
- Colorado State University Extension Office
- El Paso County Assessor’s Office
- El Paso County Clerk & Recorder’s Office
- Office closed from 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26
- Office closed on Thursday, November 27
- Office closed on Friday, November 28
- North Branch Office (Union Town Center) closed on Saturday, November 29
- El Paso County Coroner’s Office
- El Paso County Department of Human Services
- El Paso County Public Health
- El Paso County Public Trustee & Treasurer’s Office
- Offices of the El Paso County Combined Courts
- Pikes Peak Workforce Center
The El Paso County Department of Human Services will be closed Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, 2025. Visit www.Colorado.gov/PEAK to manage case information, apply for SNAP (Food Assistance), or learn about additional programs.
Offices other than those mentioned above will return to their regular business hours on Monday, December 1, 2025.
Please note that the following Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) and Land Use meetings have been canceled:
- Tuesday, November 25 (Regular)
- Thursday, November 27 (Land Use)
- Tuesday, December 2 (Regular)
The next BoCC meeting will occur on Tuesday, December 9, and the next Land Use meeting will occur on Thursday, December 11.
