All El Paso County government offices are closed Thursday, March 14, due to continued winter weather conditions. The closure applies to non-mission essential personnel, and includes all El Paso County administrative and elected offices and affiliated agencies, including El Paso County Public Health, the Pikes Peak Workforce Center, CSU Extension, El Paso County Public Trustee, the offices of the 4th Judicial District Attorney and El Paso County Combined Courts.

Closures and delays help emergency responders and road crews conduct rescue operations and road clearing with minimal interruptions. This is especially important given the number of abandoned vehicles on city and county roadways.

All City of Colorado Springs non-essential personnel are on a delayed start for the morning of Thursday, March 14. Non-essential personnel must report to work by noon. City administrative offices and facilities including Garden of the Gods Park and Palmer Park will open at noon. Anyone scheduled to appear at the City’s Municipal Court Wednesday or Thursday morning can appear at the court by Friday to reschedule. Mountain Metro Transit service will begin at 10 a.m.

We will continue to update the media and post current information on www.ElPasoCo.com and www.ColoradoSprings.gov.
