January 26, 2026 – Part of Valley Street near the intersection of Galley Road will close temporarily beginning Monday, February 2, 2026, at approximately 8:00 a.m. The closure is expected to last approximately one week, weather permitting.
Closure:
The north corner of Valley Street at Galley Road will be closed to accommodate routine utility work being performed by Under the Mountain Underground. The work includes tapping an existing waterline to install a fire line that will supply the fire suppression system for the building located at 1015 Valley Street.
Detours:
During the closure, access to businesses along Valley Street will be maintained via Omaha Boulevard. A detour route will be in place, and motorists are encouraged to follow posted signage. A detour map is enclosed.
What to Expect:
Drivers traveling through the area should expect minor delays and are encouraged to plan extra time or use alternate routes when possible. Construction schedules may change depending on weather or site conditions.
This short-term closure allows necessary utility coordination to be completed safely and efficiently, minimizing future disruptions in the area.
