Elbert Road will be closed between Murphy and Latigo roads beginning on Tuesday, May 21 as County crews replace a culvert in the area. .

El Paso County Public Works will perform the work on Elbert Road just south of Murphy Road to remedy drainage and roadway issues. County Crews will remove the old culvert pipe, install the new culvert and repave Elbert Road. The County will also perform traffic control during the entire project.

The project is scheduled to begin May 21 and is expected to be completed in a couple days, weather permitting.

Elbert Road will be closed south of Murphy Road and North of Latigo Road. Drivers will be detoured to Eastonville Road for both northbound and southbound traffic.

Colorado is prone to unpredictable weather during the spring months. El Paso County will monitor weather leading up to the project dates. If inclement weather impedes the project, the work may be rescheduled for a later date.
