County Seal with text that reads "News Release - El Paso County Public Works"

Friday, October 2, 2020 – Starting on October 6th, the traffic pattern at the Struthers Road/Gleneagle Drive Intersection will be altered. El Paso County Department of Public Works’ contractor, Olgoonik Enterprises, will close the outer lane south of the roundabout to work on extending the right turn lane accessing Gleneagle Gate View and addressing pedestrian access.

No detour will be required as traffic flow and access will remain in all directions, entering and exiting the roundabout. However, the flow of traffic entering the roundabout from all directions will be reduced to a single lane to accommodate the limitations of the adjacent lane closure. Motorists should expect delays. Traffic pattern and detour will remain in place thru late October, dependent upon weather and resource availability.

Safety Tips for Drivers:

  • Reduce speeds
  • Watch for workers, equipment, signs and barricades
  • Use caution when traveling through the work zone
  • Plan for added travel time due to single lane entering the roundabout

El Paso County wishes to thank drivers in advance for their cooperation. Funding for this work is provided by El Paso County Road and Bridge.
