Dragonflies & Damselflies

Dragonflies and damselflies are some of the most ancient, beautiful, and acrobatic aerialists of the insect world. Explore the wetlands with us as we find live specimens, learn about their life cycles, their importance to the wetland habitat, and how to tell the difference between them.

Nature Adventures: Dazzling Dragonflies

Thursday & Friday, June 18 & 19, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Children ages 3-6, with an adult, will enjoy puppet shows or stories, crafts, hands-on activities, and discovery time on the trail. Prepaid registration required. $3 per person including siblings and adults.

2’s & 3’s Outdoors: Underdogs

Hummingbird Homecoming

Saturday, June 22, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

With their speed, grace, agility, tiny size, and love of flowers, hummingbirds have captured the hearts and imaginations of countless people. Learn about their migrations, adaptations, and influence on cultures. You’ll discover our Colorado species and how to invite them to your yards, plus favorite viewing locations nearby. Recommended ages 10+.
