February 4, 2021 – The Board of the Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control and Greenway District is seeking a community-minded citizen to serve as Board Director. The position is appointed jointly by the Colorado Springs City Council and the El Paso County Board of Commissioners and will represent the small municipalities. Applications for the open position are due by February 26, 2021.

The Fountain Creek Flood Control and Greenway District is a statuary district under Title 32 of the Colorado Revised Statute. The district is authorized to manage, administer, and fund the capital improvements necessary in the Fountain Creek Watershed to mitigate flooding, erosion and sedimentation, address water quality issues, and improve drainage. All meetings usually take place at Fountain City Hall, 116 S. Main Street, Fountain, CO, unless otherwise noted.
