May 19, 2020 – Learn about the Fountain Mesa Road and Caballero/Fortman Avenue Intersection Improvements Project and provide input
El Paso County has initiated a project to improve traffic management and safety at the intersection of Fountain Mesa Road and Caballero/Fortman Avenue. The recommended new intersection roundabout also includes pedestrian crossing areas, drainage, lighting and restriping of Fountain Mesa Road north of the intersection to Fontaine Boulevard as one lane in each direction with a center left-turn lane and outside shoulders.
Construction is anticipated to start in fall 2021 and be completed in late 2022 (based on the property/easement acquisition process).
