Nature Adventures: Prehistoric Predators
Thursday & Friday, January 4 & 5, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Children ages 3-6, with an adult, will enjoy puppet shows or stories, crafts, hands-on activities, and discovery time on the trail. Prepaid registration required. $3 per person including siblings and adults.
Morning Hike & Campfire

Start the New Year off right by joining us for a short winter hike followed by a campfire, stories, and s’mores! Geared towards ages 6 and up. Prepaid registration required. $5 per person/$4 per member.
2’s & 3’s Outdoors: Squirrel World
Thursday & Friday, January 11 & 12, 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
Explore nature with your 2 or 3-year-old through interactive activities, a story, and a short hike. Prepaid registration required. $3 per person including siblings and adults.
Winter Bird Count
Saturday, January 13, 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
All levels of birders are invited to help us observe and record bird species in Fountain Creek Regional Park. Preregistration is required and space is limited. $5 donation per person recommended.
Game Night!
Friday, January 19, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Winter can be a challenging time for nature lovers – beat the winter blues with a game night at the Nature Center! We’ll have a variety of nature-themed board games and light refreshments for an evening of fun. Recommended for ages 12+. Prepaid registration required. $10 per person/$8 per member.
Live Birds of Prey
Saturday, January 27, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Learn about hawks, owls, eagles, falcons, and vultures through a live birds of prey program with Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center! The presentation includes different birds of prey and a discussion of adaptations, predator/prey relationships, natural history, and personal stories of the birds presented. You’ll also hear about the work the Center does to rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned birds of prey. Prepaid registration required. $5 per person/$4 per member.
