Nature Adventures: Crabby Crawdads

Thursday & Friday, July 6 & 7, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Children ages 3-6, with an adult, will enjoy puppet shows or stories, crafts, hands-on activities, and discovery time on the trail. Prepaid registration required. $3 per person including siblings and adults.

Yes, over the years we’ve spotted lightning bugs in the wetlands near Fountain Creek Nature Center! Learn about the lives of fireflies, make a firefly craft, and hike to find these rare wonders in the park. Prepaid registration required. $5 per person/$4 per member.

2’s & 3’s Outdoors: Undercover Critters

Thursday & Friday, July 20 & 21, 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.

Explore nature with your 2 or 3-year-old through interactive activities, a story, and a short hike. Prepaid registration required. $3 per person including siblings and adults.

Mush Ado About Mushrooms

Saturday, July 22, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Mushrooms are delicious and nutricious. They are also a very important part of the natural cycle and connect us in ways we can’t even imaging. Join Nature Center staff and Microvora to learn how they grow, why they are so important to our environment, and how to grow your own. Participants will bring home a starter kit for growing your own edible mushrooms! Reccomended for ages Prepaid registration required. $5 per person/$4 per member.
