February 5, 2026 – The City of Colorado Springs will begin construction of a new traffic signal at the Marksheffel Road and Peaceful Valley Road intersection next week to improve safety and allow traffic movements in all directions from all four intersection legs.

The closure will remain in place until the new traffic signal is fully operational. A map showing the closure area and detour routes is attached for reference.
