September 8, 2021 – El Paso County citizens have until Friday, September 17, to submit pro/con comments for County Question 1A on the November 2, 2021 Coordinated Election ballot, in order for those comments to be included in the ballot issue notice (C.R.S. 1-7-901(4)).
“Citizens have the opportunity to comment on the important issues that are before voters this November,” said Clerk and Recorder Chuck Broerman. “This process is important—it provides structure, transparency and the opportunity for voices and comments to be heard.”
Comments may be emailed to the Clerk and Recorder’s Office, serving as the designated election official on this issue, at angelaleath@elpasoco.com until 12:00 noon, September 17, 2021. Citizens may also drop off a hard copy at the Clerk’s Office in the Citizens Service Center (1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road, Suite 2202, Colorado Springs, CO 80907). All comments must include the citizen’s signature and address to ensure that the citizen is eligible to vote in the County.
