The Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center is hosting the 2019 Minority Business Enterprise & Diversity Summit: Winning Through Inclusion on January 29 at the Pinery at the Hill.

The economy is truly global, and that means businesses need to be innovative and creative in regards to diversity. The event offers businesses the opportunity to explore tools and resources that could help. The summit also provides a valuable opportunity for attendees to network.

“The SBDC is proud to work with the Hispanic Business Council and the Minority Business Office of Colorado to create this event that will help minority owned small businesses gain knowledge and grow their businesses,” said Aikta Marcoulier, Pikes Peak SBDC Executive Director.

The summit is 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29 at Pinery at the Hill, 775 W Bijou St., Colorado Springs. A networking social follows from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $25, and exhibitor spaces are also available for $200.

Chris Martinez, HCC Executive Director, will deliver the keynote address: “Disparity Study Results and Impact.” Rosy Aburto McDonough, Minority Business Office Director, and the Minority Business Advisory Council, will share their strategic objectives for 2019, next steps and impact.

Other sessions are focused on creating and advancing social responsibility, international trade opportunities, and veteran entrepreneurs, among other topics.
