FROM THE U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, – A small section of the Santa Fe Trail on the Academy will be closed Aug. 27-31 and again Sept. 4-5 while construction workers conduct demolition work on a bridge passing over the trail.
The work will be conducted on the tri-intersection bridge, which is .7 miles north of mile-marker 41 and .3 miles south of mile-marker 42 on the trail.
The trail will be open for the three-day Labor Day weekend.
The Academy will notify the public of any further closures as they occur.
