Due to resident requests, the daily project start time will be adjusted to begin at 9 a.m. each day. This will necessitate the project’s length to be extended by at least one day. Stay tuned to El Paso County’s social media channels for further updates regarding this project.

October 2, 2024 – Beginning Monday, October 7, 2024, El Paso County will be temporarily closing the east- and westbound lanes on Fontaine Blvd between Carriage Meadows and Kearsarge to complete maintenance work on the bridge deck approaches.
This closure will last approximately five (5) days and will be reopened once the project has been completed. Fontaine will be closed each day from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Detour: Residents can utilize Old Glory Dr, Lorson Blvd and Marksheffel Rd as the main detour. Access to local streets will remain open for residents who live in the area.
Closure:
- Eastbound Fontaine Blvd west of Old Glory Dr
- Westbound Fontaine Blvd west of Old Glory Dr
Safety Reminders:
- Reduce speeds in work zone.
- Watch for workers, equipment, signs, and barricades.
