February 27, 2024 – The Board of El Paso County Commissioners is seeking a community-minded volunteer with an audit or marketing background to serve as the county’s appointee on the Colorado Springs Sports Authority.
Applications are due by Monday, March 11, 2024.
The Colorado Springs Sports Authority is responsible for overseeing the audit, marketing, and programing of the facilities associated with the Colorado Springs City for Champions initiative –specifically Robson Arena and Weidner Field. The committee seeks to attract both sports and non-sports event organizations to use the space created by the City for Champions program.
Applicants should have professional expertise in real estate development, local government, construction contracting, public or private finance, the sports industry, audits, tourism, or other applicable areas.
