December 26, 2023 – The El Paso County Board of Commissioners is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers to serve on the El Paso County Park Fee Advisory Committee. Applications for the open position are due by January 9, 2024.

The Park Fee Advisory Committee meets to establish fair and equitable annual park development fees in lieu of land dedication as defined and set forth in the El Paso County Land Development Code.

The committee consists of five members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners for three-year terms. However, appointments for the purpose of filling vacancies that occur other than by expiration term shall be for the unexpired term. Terms of office shall be established to expire at the conclusion of the first regular meeting in October of each year.

There is typically one meeting per year.

Applications are being accepted for one citizen of the County who is neither a developer, member of the Home Building Association, involved in the real estate industry, nor associate with the El Paso County Park Advisory Board or County Park Department.
