June 19, 2025 – The El Paso County Fair is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Fair Awards, recognizing individuals whose dedication, service, and passion reflect the mission and spirit of the Fair. The annual awards celebrate community members who have made meaningful contributions to agriculture, youth development, and the ongoing success of the El Paso County Fair and Events Center.
This year’s VIP Award is presented to Patty Woodard, a lifelong advocate for agriculture and youth. Patty has been instrumental in expanding the Junior Livestock Sale and is a founding member of Protein 4 Helping Others (P4HO), a nonprofit initiative that donates locally raised protein to individuals facing food insecurity. Patty’s presence at the Fair is constant, and her motivation is clear. It is all for the kids. Her tireless energy, deep roots in the Fair, and unwavering commitment make her a true ambassador of the Fair’s legacy.
The Volunteer Award goes to Felicia Publicker, whose exceptional dedication has made her a key figure at the El Paso County Fair & Events Center. In 2024 alone, Felicia contributed more than 250 volunteer hours. She currently serves as the Fairgrounds Corporation Treasurer, a Fair Advisory Board committee member, and an event supporter and will lead the 2025 Rural Olympics at the Fair. Her leadership, hands-on involvement, and enthusiasm are an invaluable part of the Fair’s continued success.
The 4-H/FFA Award is awarded to Moriah Hudson, a senior 4-H member and President of the Country Style 4-H Club. At just 16 years old, Moriah has completed 11 years in the program and is actively involved in several projects, including horse, swine, and heritage arts. Her commitment to agricultural education and her peers have made her a standout youth leader in the community.
“These award recipients exemplify the values and vision of the El Paso County Fair,” said Todd Marts, Executive Director of El Paso County Parks. “Patty, Felicia, and Moriah each bring extraordinary heart and dedication to their roles, and their contributions help make the Fair a meaningful tradition for our entire community.”
The 2025 El Paso County Fair will take place July 12–19 at the El Paso County Fair & Events Center in Calhan, Colorado. For more information, visit www.elpasocountyfair.com.
