December 17, 2025 – El Paso County is closing a lane of traffic along North Gate Boulevard as work continues to improve stormwater drainage along North Gate Boulevard in the vicinity of I-25.

Closure:

Beginning the week of December 15, eastbound traffic on North Gate Boulevard will be reduced to one lane from the roundabout just west of I-25 to the roundabout east of I-25.

Detour:

Expect delays on North Gate Boulevard during this time. Additional impacts to traffic will be updated periodically throughout the duration of the project as construction progresses to the east along North Gate Boulevard toward Struthers Road. Please refer to the detour map below.

Safety Reminders:

  • Reduce speeds in and around the work zone.
  • Watch for workers, equipment, signs, and barricades.
  • Use caution, particularly during winter weather.
