March 12, 2026 – The El Paso County Division of Veterans Services will host a Veterans Claims Clinic in Calhan on Friday, March 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at VFW Post 5221, 568 Colorado Avenue, Calhan, CO 80808.

The clinic is part of the Division’s continued effort to expand outreach beyond Colorado Springs and ensure Veterans in eastern El Paso County have convenient access to accredited assistance. Veterans, dependents, and survivors will have the opportunity to meet directly with Veterans Service Officers to receive guidance on VA disability compensation, pensions, survivor benefits, healthcare enrollment, and other available programs.

“Access to benefits shouldn’t depend on geography,” said Charles Graves, El Paso County Veterans Services Division Manager. “By hosting clinics in communities like Calhan, we’re making sure Veterans across our county can connect with the support they’ve earned.”

Services are provided at no cost and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so wait times may vary depending on attendance. Veterans are encouraged to bring relevant documentation, including their DD-214, medical records, and any correspondence from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The El Paso County Division of Veterans Services advises and assists Veterans who honorably served in any branch of the armed forces, as well as their dependents and survivors, regarding VA benefits and services. Through individual appointments, community clinics, and outreach events, the Division works to reduce barriers and simplify the claims process for those who have served.
