When: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8, 2019

Where: Colorado Parks and Wildlife Regional Office (Hunter Education Room), 4255 Sinton Rd., Colorado Springs, 80907

The Southern Shooting Partnership consists of federal, state and local government agencies in southern Colorado that are focusing on the increasing demand for recreational sport shooting opportunities. The goal of the Partnership is to work collaboratively to research, identify and create additional sport shooting opportunities in southern Colorado. In addition, the Partnership supports outreach, education and educational resources to encourage safe, courteous, responsible and legal shooting. Visit the Partnership’s website here.

During the listening tour, which kicked off in December 2018, the public has provided input on topics such as the creation of a public shooting range at the Ramah State Wildlife Area in northeastern El Paso County. During the remainder of the tour, the partnership will continue to host public meetings to engage sportsman groups, neighbors, outdoor enthusiasts and others in discussions that direct the growth of the sport.
