Nature Adventures: Whose Bones?
Thursday & Friday, December 7 & 8, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Children ages 3-6, with an adult, will enjoy puppet shows or stories, crafts, hands-on activities, and discovery time on the trail. Prepaid registration required. $3 per person including siblings and adults.
2’s & 3’s Outdoors: Wildlife Games
Thursday & Friday, December 14 & 15, 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
Explore nature with your 2 or 3-year-old through interactive activities, a story, and a short hike. Prepaid registration required. $3 per person including siblings and adults.
Nature Hikes with Santa
Saturdays, December 9 & 16, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Participate in an interactive reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” while waiting for Santa to arrive at the Nature Center! Then, hike with Santa to see what gifts nature gives us. Afterwards, enjoy seasonal tunes with the band Peppergrass and make paper snowflakes! Prepaid registration (per child only) required. $5 per person/$4 per member
Solstice Celebration
Thursday, December 21, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
The winter solstice brings out longest, darkest night to the northern hemisphere. For centuries, this event has been a call for celebration. Come find out why. In this program we will investigate old and new ways to celebrate this celestial event and demonstrate traditions to bring home for a family solstice celebration. Come prepared for both indoor and outdoor activities. Prepaid registration required. $5 per person/$4 per member.
