April 7, 2025 – The El Paso County Fair returns July 12–19, 2025, in Calhan, Colorado, to celebrate 120 years! Honoring the Fair’s humble beginnings as a potato festival, the 2025 El Paso County Fair, A Spudtacular Journey, will take visitors on a journey through the decades with themed days, thrilling entertainment, and classic fair traditions.
Each day will highlight a different historical era, allowing visitors to experience the past with themed activities, exhibits, and opportunities to dress in vintage fashion. From the early 1900s to today, visitors can celebrate how the El Paso County Fair and the community have evolved.
Fairgoers can enjoy various free entertainment, including the high-flying exhibitions of Thrill Extravaganza and the pulse-pounding BOOM! Hype Crew, the daredevil stunts of Mad Chad, and family-friendly comedy with ventriloquist Joe & Friends. Interactive experiences throughout the Fair will include the Journey Through the Ages exhibit, El Paso County Nature Center displays, 4-H and FFA livestock shows, barn tours, and more, offering something for everyone.
For those seeking high-energy excitement, ticketed events at the grandstands will deliver. Auto Races kick off the Fair with fast-paced action and fireworks on July 12, with another night of racing on July 18. The CPRA Rodeo and Mounted Shooting event on July 13 will bring top local rodeo competition, while the Rough Stock Rodeo on July 17 showcases the toughest riders in the arena. The El Paso County Fair will conclude with the crowd-favorite Demolition Derby on July 19.
