June 19, 2023 – The Board of El Paso County Commissioners is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers to serve on the El Paso County Planning Commission.
Applications are due by July 12, 2023.
The Planning Commission currently has vacancies for one Regular member and two Associate members.
The Planning Commission consists of nine Regular members and up to five Associate members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Regular members serve a term of three years. Associate members serve a term of one year. The Planning Commission duties include but are not limited to: developing and adopting a Master Plan, reviewing and acting upon amendments to the Master Plan, developing and adopting a Zoning Plan, reviewing and making recommendations to the BOCC on applications for land-use and zoning, and recommending or imposing reasonable conditions upon approvals of applications to the BOCC. Planning Commission meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 9:00A.M. in the Second Floor Hearing Room at the Regional Development Center, located at 2880 International Circle, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
