March 21, 2024 – The El Paso County Board of Commissioners is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers to serve on the South Platte Basin Roundtable (SPRT). Applications for the open positions are due by April 4, 2025.
The Roundtables were established under HB05-1177 as part of the Inter Basin Compact Committee (IBCC) process to be forums for water discussion and planning on a water basin level and also on a statewide basis. As a portion of El Paso County lies within the South Platte River Basin, the county is allocated a voting seat on the SPRT.
Meetings are typically held on the second Tuesday of every month from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
