Nature’s Classroom at Bear Creek Nature Center- Foothills Habitats

Thursday, September 8, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. A puppet show followed by a discovery hike through 3 habitats, observing, comparing and contrasting each. Geared towards Grades 1-2. Children at least 6 years old can be dropped off. $4/person, prepaid registration required

Sustainability Series: What’s in Your Water?

Stretching from Palmer Lake to Pueblo, our Fountain Creek Watershed is amazing! Learn about the importance of a healthy watershed and how we can all protect and preserve our waterways with Amy Brautigan of the Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control and Greenway District. Prepaid registration required. $5 per person/$4 per member.

September Forest Bathing Walk

Friday, September 16, 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Experience the therapeutic practice of Shinrinyoku and awaken your senses with a slow, mindful walk through the woods and a beautiful tea ceremony. More info at: www.listeningpines.com Prepaid registration required. $30 per person/ $20 per member.

Join the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society at Bear Creek Nature Center as we search the night sky with the Society’s telescopes and enjoy s’mores together. Fire bans may affect this program. Pre-registration required. $5 per person/$4 per member.
