County Seal with text that reads "News Release - El Paso County Community Services"

October 27, 2020- On Saturday, November 7, beginning at 10:00 a.m., join us for Bear Creek’s 6th Annual 5k & 3K Bear Run; a silly, charity fun run & walk for a cause.

All new runners will receive a bear suit with registration to wear during the run. The suit is yours to keep! Returning runners will register at a discounted rate. All runners must be in their suit to run or walk the course.

All registrations must be completed online at www.elpasocountynaturecenters.com.

NO DOGS allowed on course. The run will take place on the beautiful trails of Bear Creek Regional Park. The course contains some uphill and downhill sections.

This year, we will race in waves of 25 runners at a time beginning at 10:00 a.m. Due to COVID guidelines, we ask that you register for a specified time slot and arrive as close to your assigned time as possible. All runners will be asked to bring a face mask to wear prior to the run beginning. While running or walking the course, you may remove your mask if 6 foot distance is assured between runners/walkers.

We are still going to have the Bear Run you know and love complete with costume contest and other pre-race events–they just might look a little different this year. Follow our Facebook page to stay up to date on the Bear Run & other nature center events.

Cost to Register:
