A paving project will close Bradley Road between Grinnell Boulevard and Goldfield Drive, with alternating lane closures between Wageman Drive and Grinnell. El Paso County Public Works has contracted with Martin Marietta Materials and Asphalt to repave Bradley Road from Grinnell Boulevard through Marabou Way. Weather permitting, the paving project will start Thursday, Aug. 2, and is expected to take about two weeks. During this project, Bradley Road will be closed to all traffic between Grinnell Boulevard and Goldfield Drive and there will be alternating lane closures on Bradley between Wageman Drive and Grinnell.

Signage will be in place advising motorists to use Wageman Drive, Grinnell Boulevard and Goldfield Drive. Drivers using these neighborhood are reminded to drive with caution and obey the lower speed. Drivers are asked to consider alternate routes during the paving project and those who must use the detour route should allow added travel time.

Drivers should also allow extra time and watch for carefully for shifting lanes along the section of Bradley between Wageman and Grinnell. Eastbound Bradley traffic will detour south on Wageman Drive then north on Grinnell Boulevard. When paving of the eastbound lanes is completed, the detour will be switched and westbound Bradley traffic will detour south on Grinnell then west on Wageman.

Drivers are reminded to use caution, reduce speeds and watch for workers, equipment, signs and barricades. The road closures will accelerate the safe and efficient completion of this project. El Paso County thanks drivers in advance for their cooperation.

Funding for this project is provided through the voter approved Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority (PPRTA) sales tax.
