Colorado State University Extension presents Colorado Beekeeper Associate Program. This is a non-credit series of classes that will be taught by CSU Extension campus and county based faculty and beekeeping experts. Class information is focused toward the small scale, non-commercial or home beekeeper.
Topics include the following:
· Understanding bees, bee management, nucs and packages.
· Beekeeping tools, equipment and hive set-up.
· Honeybee nutrition and feeding bees.
· Pathogens, pests and parasite bees, pesticides and honeybees.
· Seasonal management, harvesting, winter stores and behaviors involving your queen.
Program is a six week series on Thursdays starting September 27, 2018 through November 8, 2018 (No class on October 25th).
Cost: $300.00 (includes two books at a $30.00 value).
Weekly classes will also be offered individually at $55.00 per session (does not include books).
