Join us for Bear Creek Nature Center’s annual holiday celebration! Walk on luminary-lit nature trails, enjoy live music, chili dinner from Texas Roadhouse, Santa Claus and festive crafts. Pre-register for specific times. $7 per member/ $8 per nonmember

Kids Morning Out- Food Science

Saturday, December 10, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Caretakers, drop your kids off for a morning of discovery all about the Ute People and how they used Science, Math, Technology, and Engineering to provide food for themselves. Connections will be made to the past and present use of STEM in food preparation. A vegetarian lunch will be provided. $25/person, $20 per member Prepaid registration required

December Forest Bathing Walk

Geminid Meteor Shower Photography Workshop at Kane Ranch Open Space
Wednesday, December 14, 10:00 p.m.
Colorado Springs photographer Mike Pach of 3 Peaks Photography & Design will guide this nighttime photography workshop to capture images during the Geminid Meteor Shower. Stay until the height of the shower at 2am or leave earlier if you choose. Bring camera with wide variety of lenses and tripod/remote if you have one. Dress for weather and bring a camping chair if you want. All skill levels. Limited participants. $20 per person. Prepaid registration required.

Bear Creek Nature Center Audubon Christmas Bird Count

Saturday, December 17, Bird Count- 8:00am-12:00pm and Tally Rally- 5:00-6:30pm
All are welcome for Bear Creek Regional Park’s portion of 2022’s Christmas Bird Count. Be prepared for cold, snow and icy trails. $5 recommended donation for birdseed & feeders.
