El Paso County government is still open for business, even as many in-person services will be modified to comply with orders and recommendations related to COVID-19. Those temporary changes will be outlined below.

“We are open for business,” Commissioner Mark Waller stated. “We’re taking additional proactive, short-term steps to be available for essential public services at this time. While this may inconvenience some, protecting the public, and the employees who serve them, is our number one priority. We ask for your understanding during this time and pledge to be fully operational again as soon as possible. It may not feel like it right now, but we will return to normalcy.”

MANY SERVICES AVAILABLE ONLINE

Fortunately, many of the essential services offered by the county can be done online. That includes renewing your motor vehicle registration, submitting development applications, paying property taxes, or applying for SNAP, Medicaid, or other benefits. In other circumstances, you can conduct your business at certain kiosks located throughout the county.
