February 20, 2024 – On Monday, February 26, 2024, El Paso County will set girders for the replacement of the bridge on Calhan Highway south of US Highway 24 between Funk Road and Paint Mines Road. This operation is expected to take one (1) business day. The entire project is expected to be completed by the summer of 2024, weather permitting.

Detour:
- Temporary onsite detour road to the west of the existing bridge
Flaggers:
- Flaggers will be present during this operation. Delays are expected to be no longer than 15 minutes per vehicle.
Safety Reminders:
- Reduce speeds in work zone
- Watch for workers, equipment, signs, and barricades.
