May 12, 2023 – El Paso County’s Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) had their first successful “Commissioners on the Road” meeting in District 3 at Manitou Springs City Hall on April 25, 2023. In light of this success, El Paso County is excited for the next on-the-road meeting, which provides an opportunity for residents from all over the county to engage with their elected officials in their respective districts.

Commissioners value transparency and community input, actively encouraging residents to participate. The “Commissioners on the Road” program is BoCC meetings held in each of the five commissioner districts, allowing residents increased access to their local government.

The next on-the-road meeting will be held on May 23, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., in District 2 at the El Paso County Fairgrounds (366 10th Street, Calhan, CO). Parking is free.

Immediately following the regularly scheduled meeting, representatives from Xcel Energy will provide an update regarding Colorado’s Power Pathway to the El Paso County Commissioners and will answer their questions.

Future on-the-road meetings include:

  • District 1 | June 13, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. | Lewis Palmer High School | 1300 Higby Road, Monument, CO 80132

  • District 4 | August 29, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. | Fountain City Hall | 116 S Main Street, Fountain, CO 80817
