April 9, 2024 – Beginning Friday, April 12, El Paso County will begin replacing a pipe beneath Yucatan Drive between the two inlets at the Hancock Expressway and Yucatan Drive intersection. The project is expected to be completed in ten working days, weather permitting.
Closure Information:
- Yucatan Drive between Hancock Expressway and Cantrell Drive will be closed starting on Friday, April 12. The intersection will reopen Saturday, April 13 through Sunday, April 14. The closure will resume on Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 26.
Detour:
- Hancock Expressway from Yucatan Drive to Manzana Drive
- Manzana Drive from Hancock Expressway to Cantrall Drive
- Cantrall Drive from Manzana Drive to Yucatan Drive
Safety Reminders:
- Reduce speeds in work zone.
- Watch for workers, equipment, signs, and barricades.
