January 27, 2025 – El Paso County Treasurer & Public Trustee Chuck Broerman is asking property owners in El Paso County to watch your mail this week for the delivery of your property tax statement for 2024 taxes payable in 2025. Residents who paid their taxes prior to receiving their statement should be aware that it may not be reflected on their mailed statement.
As you review your property tax statement, know that while you pay your taxes to the Treasurer’s Office, the Treasurer is tasked with disbursing the funds to the various taxing authorities associated with your property. Where you live in the county determines which taxing authorities serve you.
Visit the Treasurer’s website at treasurer.elpasoco.com to:
- Pay your taxes online – it is convenient and secure.
- Obtain property tax history and receipts for payments.
- View and print your current year tax statement.
If you choose to pay online, please note that those payments are subject to a convenience fee. The following will be applied to online payments:
- ACH – $0.95
- VISA, Mastercard & Discover credit cards – 2.39% of the payment amount
- Debit Cards – $3.95
Payments can also be mailed to El Paso County Treasurer, P.O. Box 2018, Colorado Springs, CO 80901-2018.
If you prefer to pay in person, you can use our 24-hour secure drop box located at the El Paso County Citizens Service’s offices at 1675 Garden of the Gods Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. You can also visit our office in Suite 2100 located on the second floor between 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. To ensure proper credit, please reference your schedule number on your check.
You have the option to pay your taxes in one full installment by April 30, or in two equal installments with the first half due by February 28 and the second half due by June 16.
Over 289,000 tax statements will be sent, including real property, personal property, mobile homes, and state assessed.
The notices are traditional full-page statements including payment coupons. If you’d like to review your statement before receiving it in the mail, you may do so at treasurer.elpasoco.com and clicking on “Real Estate Property Tax Search and Online Payments” under Online Services.
Does your mailing address need to be updated? One reason you may not receive your property tax statement could be that your mailing address is inaccurate in our records. To change your mailing address, please contact the Assessor’s Office at 719-520-6600 or email them at asrweb@elpasoco.com.
If you have not received your tax statement or if you have any other questions or concerns, please call our office at 719-520-7900 or email us at trsweb@elpasoco.com.
