Mindfulness Practices for Photography and Creativity

Saturday, June 13, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Explore ways to improve your photography and creativity through mindfulness practices with photographer Mike Pach. This workshop will consist of three segments: part 1 – lecture, part 2 – outdoor practice, and part 3 – sharing experiences. All skill levels and camera types welcome, including cell phones. Prepaid registration required. $25/person .

Nature Adventures: Crazy About Cottonwoods

Children ages 3-6, with an adult, will enjoy puppet shows or stories, crafts, hands-on activities, and discovery time on the trail. Prepaid registration required. $3 per person including siblings and adults.

Yes, over the years we’ve spotted lightning bugs in the wetlands near Fountain Creek Nature Center! Learn about the lives of fireflies, make a firefly craft, and hike to find these rare wonders in the park. Recommended for ages 5+. Prepaid registration required. $5 per person/$4 per member.

2’s & 3’s Outdoors: Butterfly Boogie

Explore nature with your 2 or 3-year-old through interactive activities, a story, and a short hike. Prepaid registration required. $3 per person including siblings and adults.

Monarch Pinning Workshop

Saturday, July 27, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

With the milkweed in full bloom, we’ll start to notice monarchs passing through the park on their multi-generational migration to Mexico for the winter. Come learn about these royal insects and how to pin a specimen that you get to take home and keep! Register at Prepaid registration required. $40 per person.
