Participate at One of 27 Locations in El Paso County

The Great American Cleanup/Pikes Peak Partners is Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 27 locations across El Paso County from Falcon to Fountain, from Manitou Springs to Monument and from Calhan to downtown Colorado Springs.

To volunteer, please register at www.gacppp.com

The Great American Cleanup is designed to aesthetically improve our environment, creating cleaner parks, streetscapes and public spaces. Every year, more than 60 million pounds of litter and debris are collected by millions volunteers throughout the country. Last year in El Paso County, more than 900 volunteers collected 1,776 bags of refuse at local parks, trails, creeks, roads, and town centers. We are encouraging civic organizations, churches, scout groups, school groups, and individuals to participate in 2018 as we give the Pikes Peak region a “spring cleaning.”

The Great American Cleanup / Pikes Peak Partners is a coalition consisting of Cherokee Metropolitan District, the City of Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Utilities, El Paso County, the City of Fountain, the Greenway Fund, Keep Colorado Springs Beautiful, the City of Manitou Springs, the Town of Monument, Rosco’s Coffee House, and UpaDowna.

Site Coordinators will host volunteer check-in sites beginning at 9 a.m. at all locations around the region. Bags and safety vests will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, sunscreen, and refillable water bottles. Youth under 16 years old must be supervised by an adult.
