Join us for Halloween Community Events starting on Saturday.

Ghouls and Stools, Bear Creek Dog Park

Saturday, October 26, 9 a.m. to 11 am.

Volunteers are needed to assist the Friends of Bear Creek Dog Park in the annual cleanup of the park on Ghouls & Stools Day, Saturday, October 26, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Buckets, bags and rubber gloves will be provided, but participants will need to bring their own shovel, scoop or implement of choice.

Dogs should wear their Halloween finest, as there will be prizes for the best costumes (scariest, most original, and best matching duo). More information on Ghouls and Stools page.

Pumpkin Carving Party, Fountain Creek Nature Center

Saturday, October 26, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Carve pumpkins to leave to create the lighted trail for the Jack-o-Lantern event. Pre-scooped pumpkins, patterns and carving tools provided. Pumpkins may be retrieved after 7:30 p.m. $5 per pumpkin. Haunted Fall Festival

Saturday, October 26, 1-9 p.m.
El Paso County Fair & Events Center.

The El Paso County Fair & Events Center will host the annual Haunted Fall Fest with events and entertainment for the entire family, including hay rides, maze, haunted houses, CHRN Halloween with Horses, garden workshops, Trick-or-Treating, Colorado Astronomical Society telescopes, Ute Trail Muzzleloaders, tipi storyteller, costume contests, bounce houses, chili dinner and bull riding! Jack-o-Lantern Trail, Fountain Creek Nature Center

Join the El Paso County Department of Public Works for some trick-or-treating and large trucks at the Chuck Brown Transportation Complex at 3275 Akers Dr.

Punkin Chunkin & Zucchini Races, Fountain Creek Nature Center

Saturday, November 2, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Bring your leftover small pumpkins and giant zucchinis. See how far our catapult will launch your pumpkin,then soup up your zucchini with wheels for the zucchini race $4/member, $5/nonmember. Prepaid reservations required. www.elpasocountynaturecenters.com
