Fountain Creek Nature Adventures: What Makes a Mammal?

November 7, 9-10:30 a.m.

Children ages 3-6, with an adult, will enjoy puppet shows or stories, crafts, hands-on activities, and discovery time on the trail. $3 per person including siblings and adults. Prepaid reservations required.

2’s & 3’s Outdoors: The Big Five

November 14, 9-10:15 a.m.

Explore nature with your 2 or 3 year-old through interactive activities, a story, and a short hike. $3 per person including siblings and adults. Prepaid reservations required.

Punkin Chunkin & Zucchini Races

Saturday, November 2, 9:30-12:00 p.m.

Bring your leftover small pumpkins and giant zucchinis. See how far our catapult will launch your pumpkin,then soup up your zucchini with wheels for the zucchini race! Which zucchini will win? $4/member, 45/nonmember. Contact us for Race Rules. Prepaid reservations required.

Homeschool Fridays: Walk the Wetlands

Friday, November 8, 2-4:00 p.m.

Use your senses to explore the wetland and learn the animals that live here. Puppet show, animal inquiry activity, and guided hike. Geared twards grades K-2. $4 per person, 15 participants minimum; participants can join with other homeschool groups. Prepaid reservations required.

Holiday Craft Fair

2ND Annual Holiday Craft Fair at Fountain Creek Nature Center. Local artisans and vendors will display and sell their unique creations. Enjoy the sights and smells of the season, support the community and the nature center though your purchases. Free!

Nature’s Music Family Program

Saturday, November 2, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Music has been a part of every human culture. Our earliest instruments were made from natural materials. Hear a Native American legend of the origins of music and participate in creating our own Nature’s symphony. Light snacks provided. Preregistration required. $3 per member, $4 per nonmember.

Bear Creek Nature Center’s 5th Annual Bear Run: Fun Run & Walk Fundraiser

Saturday, November 9, 10:00 a.m.

Join us for Bear Creek’s 5th Annual Bear Run: a silly, charity fun run and walk for a cause. In celebration of 5 years, this year we will offer a 3k AND a 5k course! All new runners receive a bear suit to wear during the run and to keep! Returning runners register at a discounted rate. Come early for pre-run festivities!
