May 24, 2024 – Beginning Tuesday, May 28, northbound Knollwood, between Highway 105 and Village Ridge Point, will be closed for approximately two weeks.
The El Paso County Highway 105A Construction Project team will implement construction traffic control modifications for the temporary closure for crews to construct drainage improvements at Knollwood’s intersection with Highway 105. Lake Woodmoor Drive between Highway 105 and South Park Drive will remain closed. A detour will be in place for both closures.
To access businesses and Monument Academy on Village Ridge Point, motorists should follow the detour signage from Woodmoor Drive to Lake Woodmoor Drive to Knollwood.
The estimated schedule is based on the best information available at this time and is weather and resource dependent.
Safety Reminders:
- Please slow down and pay attention to signs and traffic control
- Watch for workers and vehicles in the construction zone
- Adhere to posted speed limit signs
- Be considerate of other drivers trying to merge
- Slower traffic is the best way to avoid accidents. If an accident does occur within the construction zone, try to pull over and get to a side road, if possible
