El Paso County, CO, January 17, 2025 – The Board of El Paso County Commissioners is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers to serve on the El Paso County Citizen Outreach Group. Applications are being accepted for two at-large members and are due by January 31, 2025.

Citizen Outreach Group

El Paso County Citizen Outreach Group (COG) helps educate residents on the work of and services provided by El Paso County, serves as citizen ambassadors on behalf of County government to the public as requested by designated staff, and assesses the progress and efforts of County strategic initiatives, such as the County Strategic Plan, the County’s budget, and the activity of the Public Safety tax. The COG, in its capacity, supports the County’s efforts in hosting the County Citizen College, the County Fair and other events in order to encourage and enhance transparency and collaboration between citizens and their County government.

Each at-large voting member shall be limited to two (2) consecutive three (3) year terms.

Citizen Outreach Group (COG) meetings are typically held monthly at Centennial Hall, 200 S. Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO.
